Amethyst Behavioral Health, LLC (ABH) strives to be a good neighbor at all times and has developed a policy to ensure positive experiences within in the community and our neighborhood. Many people have misconceptions about adults who need mental health treatment and it is ABH’s goal to maintain a level of professionalism and friendliness within the community we serve. ABH strives to educate our neighbors to appreciate and understand the important work we do and feel comfortable.  We operate under an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) license from Community Care Licensing (CCL) and San Bernardino Department of Behavioral Health Services (DHCS) serving 12 or less adults, four per home within the three ABH homes. The small and quiet milieu, combined with our high staffing ratios, allows us to provide the oversight, evidence-based care, and safety our residents deserve. ABH shall maintain the highest level of safety protocols for our residents, which includes supervised 24/7 care by our team of highly skilled professionals, fenced perimeters and state-of-the-art security surveillance technology. We utilize strict line-of-sight policies and the highest staff-to-resident ratios.  

Who We Serve

ABH provides services to adults 18-59 and 60 and older. Our skill-based environment focuses on developing ways to manage mental health and developmental skills pertinent to independent living, budgeting, successful emersion into the community, activities targeted on healthy meal planning, proper daily hygiene, treatment plans and goals to address physical and psychological goals, mindfulness, effective communication, individual and group therapy and stress tolerance skills.

 

Amethyst Behavioral Health, LLC shall maintain the highest level of safety protocols for our residents, which includes supervised 24/7 care by our team of highly qualified professionals. We utilize strict line-of-sight policies, state-of-the-art monitoring technology, and the highest possible staff-to-client ratios.

Noise, Activity, and the Condition of the Home

ABH staff are exceedingly committed to maintaining a safe, supportive, nurturing and tranquil environment where residents discover their true selves, begin the healing process to promote long-term recovery. Neighbors shall find our houses to be quieter than the typical household. ABH residents may participate in activities with their peers and families in a back- yard setting, however, the activities shall be during the day only. Our program schedules provide daily structure, consisting of therapeutic groups, education, and fitness activities. The schedule allows for only a few hours of free time each day and recreation time is supervised by staff and typically involves outside board/card games, ping pong, yard puzzles, or art supplies, physical activities (yoga, mindfulness, stretching) meditation and being creative.

Parking and Traffic

An area of possible concern of our neighbors may be the impact our program may have on parking and traffic. ABH homes shall have adequate parking for our routine daily staff. There is a long driveway on the property able to accommodate 3-4 cars, parking in the back near the garage area and street parking in front of the homes. ABH core staff are on-site between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and we have supervisory staff on site 24/7.
